Remote for Slides is a cool tool that lets you control your Google Slides remotely. I’ve been experimenting with this tool for a while now and found it worth mentioning in educational technology and mobile learning. In addition to controlling your slides remotely, Remote for Slides lets you access your speaker notes, time your presentation, and even control YouTube playback. It also comes in dark mode and black mode.
To start using Remote for Slides, you need to install the Chrome extension. Once installed, open your Google slides and from the editor mode, click on “Present with remote”. Then click on ‘Remote start’ and copy the 6-digit code. Open remote control for slides Web application or if you are using an Android device, the light android app then type or paste the code.
Other great features provided by Remote for Slides include: controlling Google Slides using game controller, support for multiple languages, ability to add to home screen, timer display, presenter notes display, etc.
