A few weeks ago I shared instructions for create green screen videos in canva. This method is great because it doesn’t require you to record in front of a physical green screen. Today I’d like to share another method that doesn’t require you to record in front of a physical green screen. This method uses a combination of Zoom and AdobeExpress.
Zoom’s desktop client has the ability to replace your background with any image you want to upload to your Zoom account. Host a Zoom meeting without any participants, replace the background, and start talking. At the end of the meeting, you will have an MP4 file that you can import into Adobe Express for further editing and/or combine with other video clips.
In this short video I demonstrate how to make a green screen video using a combination of Zoom and Adobe Express.
Education requests
As someone who has spent years teaching world geography classes, one of my favorite uses for green screens is to have students create “on the spot” video reports of the places they have researched. This combination of Zoom and Adobe Express makes it easy to make these videos without the need for a physical green screen.
