Scott Jaschick, Editoris one of the three founders of Inside higher education. Along with Doug Lederman, he directs the editorial operations of Within higher education, oversee news content, opinion pieces, career advice, blogs and other features. Scott is a leading voice on higher education issues, regularly quoted in publications nationally and writing about colleges in publications such as The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Salon, and elsewhere. He has served as a judge or reviewer for the National Magazine Awards, Online Journalism Awards, Folio Editorial Excellence Awards, and Education Writers Association Awards. Scott was a mentor through the Community College Scholarship Program of the Hechinger Institute on Education and Media, Teachers College, Columbia University. He is a board member of the Education Writers Association. From 1999 to 2003, Scott served as editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education. Scott grew up in Rochester, NY, and graduated from Cornell University in 1985. He lives in Washington.
