Schools are on lockdown in part of Baltimore County amid an investigation into a nearby shooting. A Baltimore County Public Schools spokesperson said some schools in the Towson and Parkville areas were on lockdown Friday morning amid a police investigation in the area. Schools included Loch Raven Academy, White Oak School, and Oakleigh and Pleasant Plains Elementary Schools. A lockdown status means outside access to schools is restricted. There are two scenes and a confirmed shooting, 11 News has learned. Baltimore County Police say detectives are at the scene of a shooting in the 1700 block of Glen Keith Boulevard. Police said a man was taken to hospital. An 11 News team in the area observed a heavy police presence also on nearby Chestnut Oak Road. Police confirmed to 11 News that the two scenes were linked.
