THE iSJSU School will host a free online conference on Ukrainian libraries, which will include topics such as the development of Ukraine’s first national digital library, the survey of the state of public libraries in Ukraine, the work of the network of Cherkasy regional libraries to support the victory and help libraries protect cultural heritage.
Since July 2022, Dr Ulia Gosart, Dr. Anthony Chow, Dr. Sue Alman, and Jennifer Hayes raised funds to support the efforts of librarians in Ukraine. THE GoFundMe
The fundraiser was originally created in collaboration with Liudmyla Diadyk to purchase and ship a high-end scanner for the Cherkasy Library to preserve Ukrainian cultural artifacts. Since then, the fundraiser has been picked up by Saving Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Online (SUCHO), which has helped equip Cherkasy’s library with digital technology, in addition to purchasing and shipping a PowerHouse battery for power outages. fluent.
